  Poetry Writing: The Basics

    This twelve-session, go-at-your-own-pace course covers all the basics.  A combination of written course material, recommended reading, and practice exercises provide a well-rounded education on the basics of poetry.  You’ll learn about a wide variety of poetry styles and techniques.  At the end of the course, you’ll have written a number of poems in various styles.  You’ll also learn about editing and revising your work and about possibilities for publishing your poetry.  
The cost for the course is $5 per session, pay as you go, or a one-time payment of $50. Contributers to Poet's Ink may take the course for half-price.

                       Improving Your Poetry

    This ten-week course will benefit both beginning and more experienced poets.   Students will learn a number of techniques that can be used to make good poetry, such as use of rhyme and imagery, and will also learn things to avoid in their poetry.  Students will also get some tips for enhancing the creative process.
  The cost for the course is $5 per session, pay as you go, or a one-time payment of $45. Contributers to Poet's Ink may take the course for half-price.

                        Poetry Agent Training Course

Learn to be a poetry agent. Help other poets get their work published, and get paid for it. This four-part course will teach you all you need to know in order to do the job. You will be able to work from home, set your own hours, set your own fees, decide how many clients you wish to represent, and have unlimited earning potential. The course will include:

Section One

* Determining your fees
* The initial client interview
* Evaluating potential clients’ work
* Contracts

Section Two

* How to submit work
* Finding the right market for your clients’ work

Section Three

* Tracking submissions
* Invoices
* The business side of things, including taxes

Section Four

* Marketing yourself
